Me and my fiancé had an anniversary and the hotel hosted us so well - we had a great room with a view and the facilities are great. The staff was friendly and helpful. When I asked for additional things like coffee, teas etc it was provided straight away.

This boutique hotel is directly located in Hamburg city centre, a 1-minute walk from the Neuer Wall shopping street and a 5-minute walk from the Jungfernsteig. Loved this hotel. Lots of great restaurants and bars. Overpriced like crazy but nice. Staff is lovely. The room is very comfortable and the bathroom is super nice too

The Fontenay Hamburg is a 5-star hotel situated on the shore of the Alster Lake in Hamburg, within walking distance of the famous shopping area at Jungfernstieg. Room, breakfast, facilities all excellent. The bar is a "must have" were it only for the spectacular views of the Alster and the city. We treated ourselves also to a dinner in the Lakeside restaurant. Great menu, very creative and delicious dishes, and the wine pairing offered was for the most part super.
