The owner of the property was incredibly amicable. She told me about where things in the neighborhood were such as the supermarket and the infamous Boca Chica beach. She even arranged for me a breakfast to-go baggie for the road when I needed to check out of the hotel very early in the morning (2:30 am). Other positives were the quietness of the hotel, the well-maintained facilities, the large pool (swam there more than the beach!), and the delicious food prepared by the staff. And also the owner's cat was adorable, can't forget about her! (Note to guests: Please do not try to feed the cat your food even if she loudly begs for it. She has her own food and is well taken care of)

The Catalonia Santo Domingo is a sensational 21-storey building that is located oceanfront at George Washington Avenue, 30 minutes from Las Americas International Airport and only a few minutes away... Amazing view, fantastic and huge international buffet breakfast, the pool area and bar are great, room was a good size and the hairdryer was the best hotel hairdryer I’ve ever had!
