In the picturesque, seafront village of Erbalunga is the Demeure Castel Brando Hôtel & Spa. This authentic 19th century private house sits in its own grounds and offers charming accommodation. The hotel has a nice historic feeling, but it was very well maintained and up to high standards. The restaurant was outstanding. Our room was extra spacious and had a great view on the mountains, the town and the sea. On the flip side you could hear the traffic on the street, but that did not bother us that much.

The hotel room was very nice with an excellent bathroom and the view from the windows was beyond compare. The only flaw was that the bed was a bit too hard for me to sleep well. But everything else in the room was fine. We had dinner at the restaurant and the food was wonderful. Because Port Centuri provides fresh seafood caught locally, my husband had a local fish dinner, and I splurged on a lobster dinner for the first time in years. Both our seafood dinners and my husband's salad were delicious. Everyone was so kind and nice. The chef, Rodrigo, speaks very good English and I had a great time talking together with him.

We could not have been better looked after. And the dining experience exceeded our expectations. So well presented and prepared. The view from our window was spectacular.
