Boasting air-conditioned accommodation with a patio, The Retreat, Sauna & Hot Tub, Charming & Cosy Gem is situated in Blandford Forum. It was a lovely little spot with a nice view of rolling hills. The sauna was nice but took a long time toheat up. The hot tub was really nice. It was great having a separate living room/kitchenette since we were travelling with a baby.

I loved staying at Woodland Views. Aliya is a delightful host and very welcoming. My bedroom was spacious and comfortable and it was great to have places to sit other than the bed. I particularly enjoyed the patio area which, as the property's name suggests, has views of the adjacent woodland; there is a short and picturesque walk through here to Milton Abbas village. The breakfast is prepared to order and I particularly enjoyed the variety of fresh fruit. It's in a very quiet location but ideally situated for getting around this part of Dorset. I definitely hope to return.

La Fleur De Lys, a property with a garden and a bar, is situated in Shaftesbury, 28 km from Longleat Safari Park, 29 km from Longleat House, as well as 33 km from Salisbury Train Station. The owners were extremely welcoming and made you feel important. We had the pleasure of dining in their fabulous restaurant and have to say it was one of the most outstanding dinner I have had in many a year. Presented beautifully, cook to perfection.
