The hotel provided us with beach chairs and umbrellas at no extra cost. The staff were very friendly and efficient. They had a shower room which we could use after checking out and spending some time at the beach which was very helpful.

The Excelsior is located in the city centre of La Maddalena Island, a 2-minute walk from the ferries to/from Palau. There is free public parking in front of the hotel. The staff was perfect, Miriana from reception was really helpful, her tips were perfect.

This was definitely one of our best experiences. Paolo and Barbara have created such a special place, from the very first moment we felt so welcomed and cared for, almost like being on holiday at our Italian family. The apartment, as well as the whole property including the garden, is tastefully furnished and decorated and also everything was spotlessly clean. I highly recommend trying the tasting menu, which Paolo prepares every evening, it was truly a highlight! Breakfast was outstanding too, everything fresh, tasty, and made with love by our wonderful hosts. We truly hope to come back soon!
