We picked him up and drove out to his camp not knowing what to expect. We were remote, away from the tours, with waves of golden sand at our feet. After tea, Beth and I walked the dunes to watch a lovely sunset. After a delicious tagine, we were surprised with a full moon rising and a sky of stars. The quiet was deafening, then broken with Berber rhythms from Larbi, his brother Nayim and friend Bryham. We danced by the fire and then shared life stories. We now have a new desert family.

The pool area was an escape from the heat and dust of the desert, and our room was a good size - we had a balcony with a lovely view across the mountains. The restaurant has great breakfast, and a different 3 course set menu every night. We would definitely stay again.
