Very tasty food we ordered near swimming pool (pizza, sweet doce batata frita, tiramisu etc.) But please book the table in the restaurant for dinner ahead.

This 5-star hotel is situated in a historic palace. Quinta das Lágrimas offers 3 room types: Palace Rooms once accommodated the Duke of Wellington and Garden Rooms overlook the botanical garden. Every staff member at the beautiful hotel are fantastic. They are all friendly, enthusiastic and very helpful with any request. The room was large and extremely quiet, even though there seemed to be plenty of guests. The food and wine was amazing

Our host welcomed us with a nice array of jams, fruit, and a bottle of wine. The property is absolutely perfect. It was tastefully decorated, comfortable, and very clean. We were welcomed to use their common areas, which was nice when we decided to have a down day from exploring. We would highly recommend this place to couples or families with young children. It is well located for those people that want to explore Coimbra and Piodao and have a car. It is located in a very friendly and safe village. What really makes it is how friendly and helpful the owner is.

We were very well receive on the night we arrived, although we had the door code. The location is amazing and its beautiful to have the beautiful river just on our door. The breakfast was perfect, everything delicious and its very pleasent to receive the breakfast at the house.
