Staff go out of their way to accommodate your requests.

Featuring a terrace and views of city, ibis Styles Chaves is located in Chaves, less than 500 metres from Chaves Thermal Spa and 50m from the city center. This was one of the nicest places I stayed on my entire 6-week travels through Portugal. Room was really comfortable, as was the bed, the staff were all very nice and helpful, the breakfast was REALLY good, and the location was very central but also very quiet. They did a good job curating the hotel.

Situated in Chaves, 300 metres from Chaves Thermal Spa, Castelo Hotel features accommodation with a shared lounge, private parking and a bar. This is a very plush hotel set right beside the castle. The hotel is very modern but has been done sympathetic to its surroundings. Everything is spotless and the staff are excellent. The beds were supremely comfortable.

Boasting a garden, restaurant and views of mountain, O Abel Hotel rural is set in Bragança, 6.9 km from Braganca Castle. Some units at the property feature a balcony with pool view. Good breakfast. People is very kind and available to support.

Right in the middle of the city and great access! Easy simple parking on the street, just remember to buy a parking pass at the machine on the street. Perfect, quiet hotel! Amazing bar FYI

- Offering a natural setting in Ribeira de Pena, a 30 minute-drive from Guimarães and Vila Real, Pena Park Hotel features an indoor pool and a seasonal outdoor pool, a spa and a wellness centre. Beautiful place if you are traveling in north Portugal and the huge plus is the 3 minutes walk from the hotel to the adventure park. Hotel is lovely with an amazing outdoor pool, great service, option for a chef dinner that we enjoyed. we took the suite room and the only issue with that is the bed, which was too soft for us and not really comfortable. Area is so green and great for hiking.

Santa Apolónia is located halfway between historical Bragança and the IP4 motorway. It offers quiet accommodation with free Wi-Fi, a 24-hour reception and free on-site private parking. A small very quaint hotel which was a delight to walk in to. Very clean, helpful staff and gem of a find.Breakfast was varied and plenty full. The Sandwich Snack just 5 min. away does delightful local cuisine.

Hotel Casino Chaves features an in-house casino with table games and 300 slot machines, a restaurant with views of the mountains and 3 bars. The hotel is a 5-minute drive from Chaves’s town centre. Excellent service, very clean, friendly and very knowledgeable staff.

Situated within 3.7 km of Chaves Thermal Spa and 24 km of Golf Course Vidago Palace, Refúgio da Garça offers rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Chaves. Clean rooms, great breakfast, lovely tea shop for afternoon coffee.

Located in Vila Real, 14 km from Natur Waterpark, Casa dos Correios provides air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and express check-in and check-out. The Casa offered us 2 huge rooms with comfy beds, very nice showers and bathrooms including all the necessities. The room features a mini-fridge, microwave, and kettle plus a kitchen sink so one could prepare some food, but the common kitchen is also available to use with complimentary coffee and tea all day. The place is very quiet for sleeping with only four rooms total, plus it's on a side street with a large verandah between the hotel and the street. It's located just behind the actual Correios building a few steps from the main pedestrian center, with access to many places to eat and shop. One added pleasure was that the hotel has been decorated like a museum, with artifacts from old post offices and artistic touches in the same theme. The cordial owner was pleased to show us all the nice pieces, like the old phones and signage. A excellent choice in a lovely city. We will return for a longer stay!
