Featuring an inviting outdoor seasonal pool, Hualien Farglory Hotel has luxurious, air-conditioned rooms with a balcony offering mountain or sea views. the management was there waiting for us when we arrived, was very friendly and did everything they could to make our stay very pleasant: they took us to our room, they welcomed us in the dining room with a warm welcome speech, the food was delicious specially the duck was amazing, there was a soprano singer of very high level which gave a wonderful atmosphere during dinner, there was also a scientist on the roof top to give explanation about the stars and the telescope,... I think I can say we have never been welcomed so warmly in a hotel

Set within 300 metres of Manbo Beach and 18 km of Pine Garden, The Moment Hotel Hualien by Lakeshore provides rooms in Shunan. We were staying in the moment hotel, 6 person room. Great room. Kitchen downstairs well equipped. They let us use the infinity pool of the adjacent hotel free of charge. It's close to Taroko, but not many restaurant options nearby.

Offering an outdoor swimming pool and mountain view, Yen Hotspring is set in Ruisui, 2 km from Ruisui Railway Station and 12 km from Fuyuan National Forest Recreation Area. The hot spring tub in the room is nice but our highlight was the outdoor (common) hot spring, where one can switch between hot water and cold swimming pool. Perfect to relax after a day of cycling! The host was also very friendly.
