I am regretted that I just booked for a night. i could stay for more days! like literally just stay in and use the facility. the spa facility - free onsen and sauna or even onsen in room are just perfect, the facility and equipment are all new! also location is just perfect and it situated right the ita tsao street. you can grab all the foods and shopping there in just 2 mins walk.

The hosts (oh my God) are very helpful and always try to make our stay comfortable. They are very friendly and always try to show you good places to visit. Really really really love their hospitality. English was obviously not their first language, but boy they really tried their best to communicate with us. And I must say they did a really good job. I don't have problem understanding them.

We’d been cycling around Taiwan for a couple of weeks, and this was the best stay we had on the entire trip. Two nights here at “The Deer”. What a charming place, and what gracious hosts. Our room was clean, comfortable, including a furnished balcony. The breakfast buffet had good selections both mornings for Asian (congee) Western (scrambled eggs, toast, coffee), and vegetarian (stir-fried veggies with tofu) tastes. The B&B is just a short block from the Yidashao wharf and lakeside trail, really convenient for boat tour, cable car, cycling and hiking around the lake. Perfect. Absolutely recommend.

Set in a Tudors-style building surrounded by mountains, The Old England Manor features spacious rooms with gorgeous interiors and decorations. This hotel is a true gem - 5-star restaurant and cuisine, amazing location in Taiwan mountains, and authentic UK-style rooms (and the whole hotel). The hotel is beautiful, it is a local landmark - you see people making photos all the time. Staff is super friendly and helpful, they are really trying to make your stay memorable and enjoyable. Interesting additional thing - apparently this hotel owner is into HiFi and music, rooms are equipped with high-end audio systems, and there is a special daily "music hour" in one of the entertainment areas. This hotel is an excellent choice for Taiwan people who want to get an experience of staying in an old-style fancy European hotel without travelling to Europe, but it is also just a good hotel to stay if you are visiting Taiwan mountains. While this hotel is not cheap, it gives you good value for money - room rate includes dinner (and breakfast), and this is true 5-course dinner, expertly prepared by a really good chef.

The view is amazing from my room. They also have an onsen, many swimming facilities, and a daily entertainment show and activities for everyone in the family. The mini bar is also free.
