Staff were amazing, very knowledgable (Gerald and Rick). Easy environment to meet people. Great pastries and fruit selection. Liked the fridge and pay as you go. The building, it's history was profound and a privilege to stay there.

Lovely farm building conversion, beautifully done. Sight of lovely farm animals. Lots of facilities. Warm welcome from host, and a great breakfast. Close to beautiful Poperinge with great restaurants and Delhaize Super market and the famous WESTVLETEREN brewery and bar restaurant. Also about an hour from Calais ferry port. Great location for a short break or overnight stop heading to or from the Uk. Would make a great base for longer stay to explore North West Belgium and World War 1 Cemeteries and Historical sites.

    The history of Toc H is just awe inspiring. To get the opportunity to stay there really is something special. The volunteer hosts look after you with cake, tea and breakfast (if you give them warning), the rooms are adequate but clean and tidy. We had to share a bathroom on the same landing but again was clean and tidy. Really pleased to have said that I have slept in a room along with so much history

    Very well equipped room and friendly welcome on arrival. If we'd stayed longer than one night, we'd have loved to have made use of the balcony accessed from our room. Having a 'fridge in the room was also a bonus to store our water. Being able to park close to the hotel was also an advantage

    It is a wonderful experience to spend a night in a historical building. The accommodations were surprisingly comfortable and the staff was top notch. The beds were excellent--I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to learn more about a safe space during a ghastly war.

    Have stayed here before, its a very special place to stay if you're visiting the WW1 battlefields around Ypres. The town of Poperinge is a good place to visit with a lot of history attached to it. Yes the accommodation is basic but that's not what this place is about. Check when you book to see if there just so happens to be any events taking place and don't forget that the building has the WW1 museum attached which informs the visitor in the history of Toc H. Every mans Club.
