Great location near the spa, near city, near Rhine river. Room was big, well equipped, very nice room. Hotel lunch/dinner restaurant was good. Breakfast can slightly improve quality. Staff was very polite. Spa was excellent, direct connect from the hotel. The only drawback I would personally say is that hotel price seems high for a 4* hotel.

Close to Basel by train, a very convenient oasis away from the heat, hustle and bustle of the city. Excellent rooms, efficient but friendly staff with old-world manners, a lovely setting amongst mature trees, and a delicious dinner outside in the cool of a summer’s evening. It was a pleasure to stay here.

The single room I booked was comfortable and fine for 1 person. The bed was comfortable. The shared shower & toilet were spotless. Towels provided every day if needing a replacement. The weather was very hot so big fans were provided if wanted. Loved the kitchen/ lounge area too. Very central. Just at the end of the Main Street. WiFi worked perfectly. Would definitely stay again!

Sigrid was the star. Nothing was too much trouble. She was the perfect host. Her house was welcoming and homely in a lovely location and the local restaurant bar was very nice.

Wonderful service, great food, lovely decorated rooms and bathrooms -- and extremely accomodating management. I had made a booking mistake, booked one night too early. Hotel manager greenlighted applying the payment to our actual stay instead of charging us more. We're very pleased and will be glad to return to this place.

    My lovely single room had a cute balcony overlooking the Rhine. I fell asleep with the balcony door open listening to the sound of the water. The staff were very friendly and I was able to get my slightly awkward request for decaff oat milk coffee and a second coffee offered with ease shortly afterwards. So happy I made the choice to have this last minute stay!

    Anthony was super friendly, quick to communicate and answer questions. The location of the guesthouse in Rheinfelden is very good, close to the station and within walking distance of the old town centre. Great breakfast and all day / night honesty bar and snacks. Definitely recommend if you are looking to stay near Basel (trains are only 15mins or so into the centre from here). The local area is fabulous too with lovely walks along the Rhein and the historic centre of Rheinfelden to explore.

    Everything was perfect for a stay with small kids. There were even a lot of nice toys, games and books. There was everything you may need! The hosts are also great. No hidden problems or difficulties. A place where one wants to go again.

    Such a cute and cozy house in the charming town of Rheinfelden. We loved the house, the views from the windows and all the candles around the house; it felt like home! The location is excellent, with the Glockenspiel being just outside the house. Our kids and we enjoyed the church bells and watching the goat! Felt very swiss! Marcello was very kind and helpful with our luggage. Would definitely stay here again if we returned to Rheinfelden!

    Breakfast was definitely amazing. It had a big variety of fruits, salty and sweet goods without being unhealthy. I totally recommend including breakfast in your stay. The room was also very cozy and the bathroom quite big, clean and comfortable. Bonus Points: It has a huge variety of board games to choose from if you want to stay indoors

    The host, Hildegard, was lovely and a very interesting person to talk to. She made me very welcome and I felt at ease in her home. She went to a lot of effort with the breakfast, which I thoroughly enjoyed, especially the Swiss meats and cheeses. The accommodation was within walking distance of where my friend lived, this was an unexpected bonus, and also a 2 minute walk to the bus stop, for a few minutes bus ride to the train station. It was a very convenient place for me to stay.

    Everything has a rock-solid feel about it but not in a cold way, actually very comfortable and peaceful in every way. Breakfast was great with home-made jam and Bircher Müsli. Rheinfelden (my meetings were actually in Basel and Neuhausen) turned out to be a very charming old town with swimming on islands in the Rhine accessible from the bridge. Happily stay there again and delighted to recommend.
