Everything! The room was very well appointed and clean, I loved the decor being modern and traditional at the same time. A lot of nice touches including a Dyson hair dryer and a very fancy kettle. Not to mention a super cool tiny little frog reading an even tinier book on a swinging chair on a shelf, which was fun! The traditional breakfast was amazing, freshly cooked in front of us! Last but not least the staff were super. Very nice and really helpful. If ever back in Datong we will definitely stay here again!

Peaceful and quiet, the owners were lovely, and you could tell they kept pride in their place. The meals were great especially the noodles. Enjoyed breakfast which was a mix of sweet potatoes, vegetables, dumplings, sausage. The area had plenty of food around it and a short walk to the wall and ancient drum. Found out by guide the whole town is a replica made a decade ago, even the wall.

The room was very clean and modern. Well thought out design with well placed lighting and power receptacles. Also appreciated the fact the floors are laminate flooring. Much easier to clean and avoid the dirty carpet syndrome of other hotels

    The hotel / rooms are clean and have beautiful decorations and design of local culture with plenty of ancient artefacts. The location is very central. The manager Bella speaks very good English and was helpful for planning our visits. The price/quality is fair, and we would recommend staying in this hotel.

    Great location, all major attractions in walking distance. Grottoes 20 minute taxi ride away. Staff extremely welcoming and spoke good English. Rooms clean and beds very comfortable. Great stay!

    Everything was perfect. My room was cozy, the bed was comfortable, toiletries provided. Breakfast was really good but overall, Pipa's team were wonderful, they helped me to book a taxi for early morning and even gave me food to eat during my trip; they were very warm and kind people. They also let me check in late and check out very early. If I come back do Datong I will definitely stay here again.

    Beautiful hotel, the interior design looks almost like a museum, but the room was very modern and clean. The bed was the most comfortable I ever had in China. Excellent and extremely helpful staff who will help you organize busses e.g. to Wutaishan. The location is perfect, just in the old town, lots of restaurants around. We enjoyed our stay a lot and would definitely stay here again!
