Quiet and secluded. Beautifully appointed and spotless. Owner very nice and friendly. The bed was the comfiest I have ever slept in. Lovely touches like tea and coffee and other little things left over to use. Just brilliant all round and the friendliest dogs you can imagine.

    Excellent breakfast (the food in general is very good). Leitholm is not the most interesting place but The Plough is its high point. David and Sarah were very good hosts and the accommodation is comfortable.

    I really loved this place! Super easy to check in, with check in instructions sent over very promptly. My room was clean and really cute! Amazing value for money and will definitely stay here next time I’m in the Borders!

    We really enjoyed our short stay at The Plough. The staff were very friendly and couldn’t do enough. We had an evening meal, which was delicious. Breakfast was excellent. All great value for money.

    The location was perfect, in an area surrounded by nature, very peaceful and tranquil. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean, USB ports in the bedroom, a "proper" coffee machine, not dried instant coffee. The food was freshly prepared, evening meal and breakfast. Would I go back there, of course without a shadow of doubt. One of the best places that I've stayed in.

    Perfect location on Coldstream’s historic town. Ample car parking directly outside, or beside the bus stops for Berwick, Kelso etc. Beautiful parks within walking distance. I’ve been staying at The Castle for over a decade, and am absolutely delighted that the new owners are putting care and passion back into the place after years of neglect.
