It was about a 10 - 15 minute walk to Fira however there are still some shops and restaurants around the accommodation, so you don’t feel isolated. The location is ideal, mainly because it doesn't involve any steps like so many other accommodations on the caldera edge, and also because it's close to the main road where there is plentiful free parking if you're renting a car. Firostefani is much calmer/less tourist intense than adjacent Fira. The owner Dimitra is very responsive to any reasonable requests, though everything is handled over the phone or by messaging.
