Raybo is a great hostel! The staff is very helpful and are very kind! the beds are comfortable, and all clean! there are two common areas, the kitchen is large, and terrace with a beautiful view! the location is perfect, it is quiet, but 10 minutes from the main market. Wang, Dolma aunty and Samir made us feel so loved and taken care of! We landed early in the morning, but they had some amazing chai and our room ready for us within minutes. Every morning, my partner and I were so excited to wake up, just to be able to taste dolma aunty's home made bread. Samir makes excellent omlettes! Wang took care of all of our travel needs. He helped us get our permits, dropped us to Rumbak village for a hike, helped several others in the house book their kardungla road trips and also dropped us off to the airport for our departure from Leh. When we had an unfortunate accident at the hike, Wang prepared himself to come rescue us, which goes to show how above and beyond they go. We loved their house so much so that we extended our stay at the house by another couple days. They also have multiple sweet kitties on the property, who love to lounge in the sun and never bothered us. We also really enjoyed the our room and the location of the property. There's a lot of restuarants, supermarket within 5 minutes walking distance. The leh market is 15 minutes away with a lot of shopping stores along the way. Perfect home stay, can't wait to go back here with my parents soon.

What a wonderful place! The whole place is well run. The staff are the most helpful, friendly, and obliging that we have met in India. The rooms are large, light and airy. The bed is large and comfortable with fresh white linen. There are bedside tables and bed lamps. The bathroom is large and very clean. The water pressure is excellent, and the water temperature is hot. Breakfast is served in a lovely dining room with a good selection of food to choose from. Other meals are available if required and are prepared by a chef. There is a lovely garden to sit and relax in also. All in all, this property is worthy of a high commendation. Congratulations to the owner and management.

Great place to stay for solo, couples, friends, families! Located in a quiet area, 15 mins walk from the market, overlooking the mountains, Lhechik guesthouse is a great choice. Singe, the owner, is truly a lovely person. He was always very responsive and helped with anything, including the planning of my trip. The guesthouse is super clean, the bed is very comfortable, hot water, and delicious dinner! Overall, a great choice. Btw, Singe also has another guesthouse, Jig Gyas, where I stayed for a few nights. Same high standards!

Raku Guest House in Leh offers the kind of cozy homestay experience that you envisage when you think of a homestay in a place like Ladakh. It is located in Upper Tukcha Road which is a quiet, residential locality dotted with other homestays and smaller, boutique hotels. While this keeps the guests away from the hustle of Leh's Market / Bazaar area and offers a sense of quietude, the Market and adjoining areas are still walkable at roughly 1 - 1.5 km. It is a roughly 15 minute drive from Leh Airport. The place is listed on many aggregator websites such as MakeMyTrip and we made the booking through Booking.com without any advance payment. At roughly Rs. 3000 per night for a double room (April 2023), I have to say the place offers good value. The reader may note that this does not include any meals and is the EP rate for the place. Meals were charged at 300 per head regardless of breakfast or dinner. We usually had lunch outside. The people at Raku make all the difference starting with the proprietor, Mr. Sonam, who was our nodal point for our Ladakh trip. When we began interacting over phone calls, he was polite, friendly and forthcoming to a fault, taking time to answer queries. We were keen on a good vehicle that could handle the climbing of passes and the gravelly roads in some parts of Ladakh, and an experienced driver. He arranged for both in a manner that proved to be a delightful aspect of the trip. We were allotted a driver who was of Tibetan descent and lived in the Choglamsar settlement close to Leh. Mr. Sonam also arranged for our Ecology Fees (no permits in Ladakh since 2021) and Oxygen Cylinders. He made sure that we were well attended to during our 3 night stay at his place. His mother cooked breakfast and dinner for us. Her preparations were simple, filling and delicious. Every meal satiated us in a manner that only those who know how important a meal is when the mercury plummets below zero will be able to empathize with.

This was the third time I stayed in this hotel because everything (location, accommodation,staff, catering, cleaning, climate, caring..) is not just good; it's excellent. I highly recommend this hostelier for everyone solo, couple and for family. As leh is considered as a High altitude place, but when you stay in this hostelier nothing to worry about. You're definitely going to enjoy the hostelier and local sightseeing. ☺

    Everything! This was one of the most amazing stays I have ever had. From the delicious freshly prepared breakfast and dinner with the garden veggies, to the comfortable rooms and stunning view the only thing that made our stay even more outstanding was the helpfulness and kindness of the owner and staff. If you are travelling to Leh don't look any further for accommodation and stay here, you will not regret it.
