I had a wonderful stay with a warm, welcoming family! I was well taken care of throughout my visit. The room was cozy and clean, and the food was absolutely amazing. They provided plenty of information and recommendations on where to go and what to do—from a morning boat tour to kayak and bicycle rentals, plus laundry facilities, everything you need was available. Keep in mind that the homestay is a bit remote, further from the main river, but I found this to be an advantage. It allowed me to rent a kayak and explore the small canals easily. Additionally, the homestay is within walking distance from the train station—if you choose to walk, follow the road near the temple.

    Munroe island is a great place and it gets even better when you stay with Deepa and her family at Mundro Garden Homestay. The place is clean and very well located, the food she offers is just delicious and you can go for sunrise and sunset walks quite easily as Deepa takes care of everything for you! She even took me to visit a temple in the town and taste the best soda on the island! I'd definitely recommend staying here for your holiday!

    Beautiful location. The accommodation was very clean and lovely. Everything was absolutely perfect and the staff was incredibly kind and helpful. They have very good breakfast and lunch/dinner options. Don't choose another place to stay, that would be a mistake !

    we loved its authenticity. very charming little homestay. Suresh was attentive and helpful. Food was delicious. This is not luxury accommodation but it is the essence of backwater Kerala and for that it is perfect. We enjoyed our late afternoon canoe trip. Thanks.

    Everything. It's located in the middle of the nature and very very peaceful. The owner and his family are super friendly and perfect hosts. We had great breakfasts and Dinners made by Vishnus wife. Also Vishnu offered us to take a boat tour through the Island which was beautiful! Can recommend it a 120%. The Accommodations are also perfect 👌

    If you're looking for an authentic experience, you should definitely go to Munroe Island. It's a very beautiful and peaceful place. I enjoyed my stay at Valiyath Holidays with the family. They are very friendly and make everything to make you feel confortable. I had good talks with Karthika who speaks very well english and I learned a lot about indian culture. Also, the food they served was really good. The boat trip was really nice and they provided me a bycicle, which was nice to discover the island.
