Mountain View homestay felt like a little safe sanctuary - a calm space to base yourself while exploring and enjoying all the wonderful things in Kumily or equally to just relax and recuperate after months of travel. We felt so welcomed and at home we didn’t want to leave. The wonderful hosts will help organise various activities or answer any questions. We did yoga on the rooftop with Sophie which was lovely. It’s really a special place to visit

Really good value for money, especially for the area. The location was literally perfect for us, around a 5-10 minute walk into the centre but exceptionally quiet around the homestay. Lots of pretty birds as there is a tree farm/forst across the road. Spacious room. Nice family run restaurant next door. The host was really really very kind and made us feel very welcome. She also gave us some great advice :)

The room was very good with a wooden finish making it a more traditional Kerala style house. Mainly, Mr.Lawrence was very helpful, he is more than a host. He provides all the suggestions about places to go and things to do. I highly recommend this place!

Superb home stay. Embedded in forest nature. Fantastic house with well designed rooms, having huge windows fronting just nature. Well equipped and super clean. Very good breakfast, adapted to your taste upon request. We did not have the chance to eat dinner, but we got a very good review from other guests. The owners are not only very efficient and kind, but very special persons as well. Our best stay in Kerala, among several four stars luxury resorts. Fantastic treck starting at the hotel. Ask the stuff. Highly recommended

The room was very spacious and clean, the bed is massive. Its very new and modern. The bathroom was the best one we had during the whole trip. Girish and Sunila are such nice people. They were so helpful. Girish helped us organise our trip to the National Park and advised on onward travel. He even followed up to see if we got there alright. Sunila cooked very tasty breakfasts and served them in their own home. - something different every day, always traditional Kerala food. The location is in a quiet residential area, a bit away from the main roads. The bus station and main road is only a 10 minute walk away. Places to eat and shop are plentiful and close by.

The place is remarkable. The views are incredible. The room is simply beautiful . The food in the restaurant is superb, and the staff are so nice that there are not enough words to describe them. We must recommend Prakash from the reception and Ram, one of the best Sheff in the world that was doing everything he could to cook for us amazing food and not spicy. If we come again to amazing cerala we'll definitely come again to this hotel. Thanks a lot for a wonderful time. Most recommended.

    A good accommodation, but that you can get everywhere. What makes this one especially unique is the super kind, knowledgeable and helpful owner. He truly makes the stay here special. Besides this, the balconies have a peaceful green view where you can peacefully sit and relax. The facilities in the room are relatively basic - but it is clean and the bed is comfortable, and it’s good value for money.

    We have stayed at the Spice Village on 3 occasions now and will certainly be back the whole village has a great atmosphere beautiful gardens, staff are great very well trained and friendly, great old fashion Bar, decorated with old photographs of years gone by very tastefully done, cafe had the best chicken sandwich for lunch.. dinner buffet was great choice of tasty Indian food... accommodation very clean and well serviced...
