It was a 40 minute drive for us next day which was perfect. Breakfast was a simple buffet but plenty to choose from. The staff were very helpful, the hotel was very modern and clean, plenty of parking. The property is wonderful, located in the middle of the woods, providing a peaceful and quiet environment. We dined at the on-site restaurant and found it to be perfect value for money; the food exceeded our expectations. Every day there is a different menu, and every plate is delicious (I had the best Pesto of my life). The staff were super friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. Sitting in the sun each morning, having breakfast in front of the room/hut, with great views to the south-west . The restaurant in the main house is very nice, the food delicious. Also, great base from which to start Etna hiking trips as well as sightseeing (e.g. Catania). Might very well have been the most relaxing and "feel-good" place of our three-week stay in Sicily. This is a family run business with a truly amazing staff, from the manager Alessandra and everyone in between. So helpful, friendly, accomidating, and wonderful. The space itself is to die for and the location as well. There are places to run, it is calm and relaxed, but it is also only 45 minutes driving from Catania, maybe the most interesting and foody friendly city in Sicily. Do not hesistate, stay here now!
