Extremely beautiful, clean, calm, comfortable place. Having coffee in the morning and enjoying the great view of Etna and the sea, the garden with palm trees, lemons and oranges… felt like a bit of heaven came back to earth. We loved everything about the apartment. Very nicely designed, very clean and with all the appliances we can imagine (there are 3 air conditioning units to ensure a nice temperature). On our 14-day trip across Sicily, this apartment beats all. There was even a basket full of fruit to welcome us. And all thanks to our hosts Andrea and Giusy who were extremely friendly and offered us help with all the questions we could think of around the city. Many thanks to both!

Rosanna was extremely nice, accommodating and welcoming! She was there on arrival and showed us around and where all the amenities were. We found everything we needed for breakfast and the apartment was spotless. The place has a very classical deco which takes you back in time. The location is ideal is you want to explore the eastern side of Sicily - Taormina and Catania are about 30-45 minutes away, as is Mt Etna. Giarre itself is a very lively town and worth a walk along its streets and a visit to the city square. The bells ringing enthusiastically every 15 minutes from the nearby church made the atmosphere feel typically Sicilian but they do stop during the night :-)

    The location was not touristy. small town. People were very friendly most did not speak English but this wasn't an issue because we used google translate. 6 mins walk to groceries and less than 10 min walk to train station. Lots of patisseries near by. The accommodation was very clean. The hospitality of our host and great communication made our stay exceptional. Francesco helped us with organising our transport to Etna land too.

    This place is amazing if you're looking for a quiet getaway in Sicily! The hosts were impeccable, we had fresh croissants brought to us every day, and we were also accompanied by lots of furry neighbours 😁 will definitely stay at this place again when in Sicily.

    From the minute we arrived, the beautiful botanical gardens made us feel like our holiday had finally started and Lella & Andrea went out of their way to make us feel so very welcome. …..They can also offer an excellent Espresso Martini by the pool!

    Brand new and very high standard accommodation, perfectly equipped apartment. Luxurious garden, very landscaped with a very nice pool. We were very pleased with the absolute cleanliness!, which is not a standard in Sicily. We developed a close relationship with the owners which was a great start to our holiday. Already their hospitality upon arrival made a wonderful impression on us. We came to relax and the peace we found was exactly what we needed. Our holiday here was wonderful.

    Oh what a lovely and relaxing holiday!!!! If you are up for something really relaxing in the Sicilian countryside you are on the right page! Wait no more, just book! The views, the hosts, the spa, the cleanliness, the internet, the comfort… all exceptional. The hosts are helpful, genuine, made us feel at home and went out of their way to make sure that our stay will be great. A bonus were the well-kept cats making our stay so special. Of course Chalet il Gelsomino… we can’t wait to be back!
