Simpy WOW! It is really an amazing place. We stayed there for one night just to get the experience in staying in a ryokan with onsen. We like anime so we chose this one as it has some features of Demon Slayer anime :) Room was amazing, sleeping on futons was really comfortable. Room was spacious. We were wearing yukatas during our stay and it was just amazing! Onsen was wonderful! And the dinner - OMG - super tasty! we felt really welcomed there and taken care of. One staff member who spoke English very well was explaining us what we were eating, how to cook different parts of the meal etc. It was so lovely. We really appreciate that! If we ever come to Japan again we will go there for sure.

Great experience staying in a traditional Japanese style Inn. The room was comfortable and a good size, the staff were very friendly and did their best to communicate with us as best they could. Nice to have access to a private hot bath. The breakfast was also super good!

This place is incredible. The taste, the care, the quality, all was amazing. Had I known before how good it was, I would have booked a longer stay. This is a reconstructed old japanese house. But it is done with such care, that you can feel it. It is quiet and beautiful. The kitchen has basic conditions, but there was enough to season a salad. I really felt there was care and thoughfulness all around.

What an amazing stay we had at Marumine Kanko Hotel. The futons were comfortable and they have extra if you need. We slept like babies. The open-air bath is a must. You can take a bath any time you want and it was absolutely stunning especially that it snowed during our stay. The room was spotless clean, the bathroom came with all kind of skin care products. We had half board. The breakfast and the supper were buffet style with many varieties of dishes western and Japanese style. All super delicious. My 11 yo son (that didn't want to leave) and I adored our stay and next time will be back to Japan we will be booking a whole week at this hotel. The area is awesome, surrounded by forests and hills and there is a river that we could see and hear from our room. The people working there are very friendly and professional and they will go above and beyond to help you. For some reason my name was not taken down for the 10:00 shutlle on our check out day and one of the receptionist brought us to Ashinomaki Onsen Station with one of the hotel's car. Amazing experience! I highly recommend this hotel. Thank you for everything.

Staying here even for one night was very nice. Gina helped us find our bus the next day as soon as we arrived, our room was heated and very nice with a balcony, the kitchen was well equipped and had tea to make yourself. At the reception there was food from sandwiches to sweet things prepared by Gina's mom, very delicious, recommended. Good hall to watch movies or plan your trip ! Definitely recommend this place.     Beautiful location by the river, lovely Japanese style room, wonderfully relaxing private outdoor onsen which you can book for 45 minutes, amazing kaiseki evening meal. The evening shamisen performance was a nice touch. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome, spoke English to us, and catered for my husband’s food allergy. Thanks so much for a delightful stay!

    Very authentic Japanese style accommodation with fantastic hospitality.. Excellent facilities and we will definitely visit again. We had buffet breakfast and the food was delicious. We should have stayed 2 nights.

    The location. Central and accessible to most area around town. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are big and super clean. The accommodation is quite traditional Japan type. We enjoyed our stay.

    The town where the hotel is situated felt a bit sad, like a ghost village, but it had a mysterious vibe that we reallyliked. It was different from the busy places we're used to. One of the highlights of our stay was undoubtedly the hotel's bathing facilities. The public onsen was great, and we were pleased to find it well-maintained and clean.

    The hotel staff were so friendly and helpful.The location was ideal for us as we had an early start (5:30am)at the railway station the next morning We only stayed one night and due to our early start we were unable to try their breakfast.
