Shuzenji Onsen is a tiny town but really lovely, I enjoyed exploring the Izu peninsula as well as the neighbouring rice fields and hills. The room was minimal, but it was to be expected for this kind of accomodation (the futons might not be suitable for very long). We didn't try the bathroom has the host kindly indicate a great onsen (bathing establishment) the city is known for. Speaking of the host, we couldn't emphasize enough on the quality of his prestation and friendliness. He was very helpful, and his advices allowed us to have a exceptional stay.
