    I relish their scrumptious curry and quail eggs. You can savor free meals whenever you want when hotel's restaurant is open. The hotel is situated near Kokura Rear Station (North exit), so it's more quiet. Compared to riotous south side, I go for north side. About my room, it was a bit small, whereas it was okay. Staffs are well-trained. They resolved my problem in no time. Anyway... At this price, staying at Quintessa Hotel Kokura gives good bang for your buck.

    The room is clean and the amenities are good. The closeness to the train station is a bonus for ease of moving around the area. The surrounding area has lots of eateries and shopping malls. The staff at the hotel are polite and the checking in/out processes were done smoothly. Will stay for a longer period there to visit the surrounding towns.

    Definitely exceeded expectations. Nishitetsu was within walking distance of Kokura train station. The onsen won us over. It had a hot pool, cold pool and sauna. Also walking distance to Kokura castle and a whole alley of restaurants. We did a day-trip to Mojiko to visit the Karato seafood market since accommodations were more affordable in Kokura. Bonus: THERE IS MISTER DONUT AT THE STATION!! lol
