Hosts were incredibly nice. Well maintained ryokan with spacious room and shower. Lighting was good and the two heaters were super nice in the winter. The hosts were very helpful and gave us great recommendation to a nearby restaurant. Very cute dogs!!

Everything! Amazing premises, great location, great staff, and excellent food. You can walk to the hotel from the station, but they also run a frequent free shuttle.

The room was huge and the amenities fantastic, especially the private onsen. Matsushima is so beautiful.

From checking in to checking out the process was excellent. All relevant information was provided verbal and written on a hotel brochure in English and Japanese. Buffet breakfast and dinner were included in the price and buffets were very good. Location from Takenouchi station was about 800 metres from the hotel. The onsen was very good. There was welcoming drinks 🍸 from 1400hrs to 2300hrs. In the morning there was soft drinks and coffee. The area was very quiet and peaceful. The hotel did provide a shuttle service to the Matsushima station at certain times.
