The staff here are amazing — everyone’s so friendly, and provided excellent recommendations for where to eat and what to do. The regular facilities are clean and modern, but it’s the vibe of the people that really makes this a great stay.

Onomichi Guest House blew my husband and I away. We had the pleasure of staying for NYE; there is no better place to enjoy the sunrise on January 1st. It is located right below Senkoji, the most popular temple. The cafe has an old-timey vibe and guests can use it freely to relax, including bringing in your own food. I tried the ginger latte, it was delicious. The staff is very kind. The two-person room we booked, although small, was cozy and have good storage for luggage. We did have a large and small suitcase with us, but by taking some breaks along the way we had no problem going up and down the stairs to get to the guest house. The staff can keep your bags for you outside of check-in and check-out time. Two shared toilets are in the same building as the rooms, and two showers are in a separate building next door. If you are able to handle climbing up and down stairs and don't mind sharing facilities, don't hesitate to book a night or two here.

    Amazing stay at Azumi Setoda, probably one of the best accommodation of our trip. The room is beautifully furnished, the hotel overall has a great design. The staff was super welcoming and helpful. I also highly recommend the restaurant and the onsen!

    I stayed in the separate room, and it was very nice. The room was kinda spacious, and it was very comfortable. The accomodation is also close to the major spots, and a nice walk away ftom the station.

    The location was perfect as it was close to the train station and the town. The room was bigger than most other accommodations we had during our Japan stay too. The addition of the washing machine, cooking facilities and couch were also a great bonus.

    Beautiful and serene accommodation with added benefit of quiet shared lounge and bath house. Pj’s and toiletries provided. Convenient location to cafe and restaurants and bike hire. Great stopover if riding Shimanami or just an overnight stay.

    We loved this accommodation - this was my second time staying. The view from the cafe/bedrooms is pretty incredible and worth the trek up the stairs to come and stay. We had a private room which was great for the two of us - the room was clean & the bedding really comfortable. The hosts are extremely helpful
