Oshino Hakkai is one bus stop away, The accommodation is not in any of the main bustling towns near Fuji, so it's pretty much secluded from large crowds. It's great for those looking for a slower, quieter stay. The owner, Miyashita-san, was perhaps the highlight of our trip in Japan: He's the kindest and most welcoming host we've met. The original appeal was seeing Mt Fuji in the morning. Nevertheless, we didn't see the mountain all day but it didn't matter because this traditional Inn well and truly made up for it.
