I absolutely loved staying here! The ryokan is traditional but with modern facilities. Perfect location close to the Yanagawa canals. Staff were really friendly and helpful and they were able to prepare a gluten-free breakfast for me. Our room was beautiful and very quiet. Highly recommend!

The hotel was conveniently located across the road from the railway station and many eating options in the nearby streets. This new hotel had excellent facilities, including public bathing and a very reasonably priced restaurant for breakfast and dinner. The hotel staff were excellent. They were friendly and hospitable, and conveniently for us, spoke English, so were able to help and direct us to a canal tour. Our room was well appointed, very clean and modern.

A secluded but relatively accessible location with a few stray kitties around the property. The room is cosy and comfortable with a foot bath you can enjoy after traveling.     This is a very special place because it's important historically. It was very magical to stay in a place like this. The room was spacious, the staff were professional and made everything in their hands to make our stay more special. It was my friend's birthday and we had a great time sipping nihonshu at the big tatami room. Would totally come back.

    Joe's warmth and hospitality were exceptional. He gave us local recommendations for the hot springs and food in the area, which were both really good. He made us a delicious breakfast each day, which was very hearty, and we enjoyed the conversations with him throughout our stay. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, and the room spacious. The quality of linen gave us both a great night's sleep.

    Jo and his sister were great hosts. Communicative before I arrived and provided me with some light snacks and fresh fruit when I got in after cycling all day. Bedroom and living space were large and very comfortable. Breakfast was good with an excellent view of their garden which looked beautiful in the autumn colours. I was only staying the night but it’s walking distance to convenience stores, local tourist attractions like the gondolas and shrines.
