Really lovely guesthouse. Rooms are cosy. The host is a very friendly and warm. He took us to a nearby izakaya for dinner which had friendly owners, delicious food and was all round a great experience. Definitely recommend!

This perfect coastal location is well-matched with a lovely, roomy house full of all the modern amenities needed for a comfortable stay. Even with strong winds and horizontal rain, the outlook was mesmerising, and when the sun came out, it was great to step outside for a leisurely stroll along the waterfront. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Nikaho - a great base for exploring (with a car) attractions in Tsuruoka and Sakata as well as views and waterfalls around beautiful Mt Chokai.

    If you need a place to stay in Yurihonjo, there isn't many options. This place is pretty standard with the other Route Inn hotels around Japan with a public bath facilities and restaurant. I ate at the restaurant which had decent food but there isn't much around the hotel. I simply stayed because there wasn't many options while I was cycling in the area.
