Wolyoungchae is a beautiful place - so very well run by the hospitable Sugi! Loved the traditional architecture and furnishings. It is also well located with easy transport to Andong Old market and Andong train/bus terminals.

It was our privilege to be able to stay in this amazing, historical accommodation. It was very quiet and relaxing, and we slept great. Breakfast was delicious. Seunghwan, the owner, and his family went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and they even gave us a few rides around the area, for what we are really grateful. Exceptional site. The hotel, a hanok, is in a pieceful and beautiful environment. The staff is extremely helpful, the host is a very elegant person and passionnate about the hotel, the korean history. There is a welcome tea which is highly appreciated, and the opportunity to have a dinner according to old recipies ( mode than 500 years) that have been modernized by the chef chose family did write the cool book. We had a great time in Taehwa House! We came to Andong to visit Hahoe Folk Village, but weren't very lucky with the weather. So it was particularly delightful to find refuge in this nicely decorated and elegantly refurbished hanok. The owner was very friendly, welcoming and warm and swiftly answered all our questions. She even left some lovely gifts for us. We were so wet and cold when we arrived, that we just decided to stay in for the rest of the evening and enjoy the stay in the hanok. We would have loved to stay for a bit longer, but unfortunately time is always too short. Thank you vary much for a great stay in Andong!

- Loved the comfortable vibe of this place. It matches the serene nature of Andong - It really felt like every corner of this hostel is taken care of with a lot of care and attention by the owner and the staff - The lounge area downstairs is beautiful and it allows for good conversations as well has places where you can go to have some quiet time - The staff was extremely courteous and helpful. Sometimes even going out of their way to help me out - I found the crowd that come to the hostel to be really good. I made some good friends who I could go to the town with - The breakfast was really good and very filling - You had the option of buying more food or drinks from the cafe if needed. - The cats and the library books just made the whole place so lively

This brand new hotel ticked all the boxes! Excellent location in a newly developing area. Lots of eateries nearby; a jogging trail around the lake at the back of the property; walking trails in local parks across the road, and all just 5km away from historic Hahoe Village. Our room overlooked what will soon be another major development, but is currently just an empty section (I would recommend requesting a room at the back overlooking the lake). Everything in the room was wonderful - morning sun; double glazing (so absolutely no road noise); great shower; wonderful toiletries (shampoo/conditioner/body wash); a mini fridge; daily cleaning; comfie bed; lots of charging points and plugs. The breakfast buffet is the best we have had yet on our trip, and definitely recommended, with both western food (hash browns, bacon, pastries, coffee), along with multiple Korean dishes. We used the gym for a back/biceps weight session, and while the equipment is a little limited, there is still enough for a good workout (a full dumbell set up to 20kg, abductor/adductor machine, hyper-extension machine, Smith rack, and two incline benches). This is the second Stanford hotel we have stayed at on our tour of the country, and they are all obviously top notch!!!

Just everything. The host lady was so so so nice. We felt so at ease. She even brought us some tea and biscuit in a traditional tray.The room was just just just wow. It was very clean as well.The breakfast was tooo good. I felt like in joseon era which is so so so coool. If I knew i would have like it so soo so much, would have stayed two nights. Maybe next time 🤭 For all the joseon era kdrama lovers, this is a must stay place. If you get the opportunity, bring a hanbok and blend in this nice place for cool photos. I really really really loved this place.

    A wonderful place set in beautiful natural surroundings. We really enjoyed staying at Okyeon Jeongsa with its relaxing atmosphere, waking up to birds calling in the surrounding forest. The history of the buildings and their owners gave an angle to understanding an important period in Korean history. The host was also very hospitable and serviceminded. The breakfast, apart from being tasty, was an experience in itself, served in the breakfast room with its low doors overlooking the river. Futons were comfortable and the bathrooms fine.

    A convenient location to stay on a road trip between Seoul and Busan about 25mins out of Andong with reasonable pricing. Located in a small high rise satellite township where we could find everything we needed within a short walk from the hotel. Free onsite parking included

    The location on the banks of the Nakdong River is wonderful, along with the sense that you have stepped into history. The accommodation is simple but comfortable, the hosts welcoming and extremely helpful, and the traditional Korean breakfast absolutely delicious. You wake to the calls of many different birds in the forest behind the pavilion, and go to sleep to the sound of frogs in the nearby rice fields and river reeds. We would have liked to stay longer to do nothing and unwind.

    The accommodation was clean and the room was large. The bed was fine. The cafe was good with fine snacks and nice to relax in after a long day. There were lots of cute cats and baby cats, sad they didn't have any toys. The only downside I found, was that you had to be back before 11pm or you couldn't get in as there was no back door as an alternative. But otherwise a good place to stay for a few days.

    the buildings were built in 1586 and Mr Ryu is the 16th generation of the family to have lived here. the accommodation was authentic but the most outstanding aspect of the stay was the home made breakfast (included in price). The view of the River and Hahoe Folk Village was beautiful (particularly in the morning).
