We received a lovely welcome, and the room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. 10 minutes walk from the railway station and 15 minutes walk from Nanuoya waterfall. Great value and we had a really good time. Thank you!

Very lovely Place! It’s on the outskirts of the village and very quiet, lovely view of the area. The owner are super sweet, ofer a free shuttle service and the dinner and breakfast were delicious homecooked meals 🥰. Bed very comfortable and everything is super clean. Anytime again!

A nice big room with a comfortable bed and views out over the outskirts of the town and onto the tea plantations. There's also a common area with sofa and dining table. Breakfast that was included in the room price was good typical Sri Lankan. I also had an evening meal on both nights which was ok and saved me going into town but wasn't great if I'm honest. Location is around 15 minutes walk to Lovers Leap waterfall. And there's a bus stop a few minutes walk away where buses are every few minutes and cost 35 rupees in to the town centre.

Appleton Villa is a true hidden gem in the middle of nowhere—exactly the kind of place you dream of discovering! The villa is incredibly stylish, with an elegant design and a cozy atmosphere. From the moment we arrived, the staff was beyond attentive, ensuring we had the most comfortable stay. We were welcomed with a lovely cup of tea, and though we weren’t hungry, the mouthwatering aromas from the kitchen were hard to resist. The next morning, we were treated to an absolutely incredible breakfast. The entire stay was flawless—smooth check-in and check-out, spotless cleanliness, and a wide range of services available. The villa also offers super-fast WiFi, streaming channels in the room, and spacious, beautifully designed accommodations. Very big and super clean room with a wonderful view! Very comfy bed. The owner was super kind and helpful. I was tired and didn't want to eat in town, and he served me an amazing Kothu in the room. He also made me a nice breakfast early in the morning because I was going hiking. Very sweet. I only stayed for 1 night unfortunately, would definitely stay longer! This place is great.

Best place we’ve stayed in Sri Lanka. Sanjaya and his family are so friendly and service minded. He picked us up at the train station and spent the day showing us some great places, including a tea factory. They also offered us dinner, which was amazing. Would definitely recommend this place, it’s really a cozy heaven. Thank you for having us!

This is a very welcoming place. The owner is really good and took a really good care of their guests! Keep asking if i have problems or not. That’s really nice! Ordered fish curry for dinner and it was really delicious and for that portion, the price is pretty cheap. They can arrange pickup from the train station. The room is really spacious for family up to 5 people! I was alone so i got all the 3 queen beds for myself lol the famous lover’s leap waterfall located just less than 2km from the house. I really recommend this stay!

    Silva extremely kind and polite. The accommodation was close to the train station, within walking distance. The room was spacious and had good bed. Very good breakfast included. The staff also took us from the train station for free since at night it can be dangerous to walk to the hotel.

    A very nice place to stay in a quiet place close to the train station. The surroundings are very beautiful, and they are very well connected with Nuwara Eliya. Breakfast and dinner were delicious, everything was very clean and family always did their best. Of course, I will repeat.

    Fantastic experience. The breakfast was delicious with a great variety of options. The owner went above and beyond by coming to pick me up from the railway station without even needing to be called – such a thoughtful gesture!     The family that owns this accommodation are so kind and accommodating. They stayed up to get us from our train and we were welcomed with tea and cookies. We had the best meals we have had in Sri Lanka here, both breakfasts and dinner. The rooms are in their house, but you still feel like you have your own space. They directed us to a nearby waterfall and tea plantation and also graciously allowed us to stay a bit to wait for our departure train.

    We had an amazing stay at Ansi Villa and couldn't recommend it enough! The family are so lovely, friendly and accommodating. Our room and the villa was extremely clean, the bed was very comfy and we had the BEST food here. They cooked us dinner which was delicious and the breakfast was amazing. The accommodation is very close to Nanu Oya train station (5 min walk) and there is a couple of beautiful waterfalls nearby the villa which the family recommended so we had a lovely walk before catching our train.

    We arrived in the evening and used this homestay as a way to catch an early train from Nanu Oya to Ella. It was great for that purpose. The accommodation itself is as described; clean, double bed, private bathroom. Host is accommodating and cooked us dinner and breakfast. Nano Oya is a very quiet place but it is beautiful. Before the train we went on a lovely walk amongst the tea plantations.

    Accommodation is very close to Nanuoya train station. When we wanted to travel from this station and the train was cancelled, this was a great place to stay over. Even though it was later at night, the family welcomed us nicely. The furnishings were ok and everything was clean.
