A Perfect Start to Our Sri Lanka Adventure – Moni Farmhouse, Wilpattu Our stay at Moni Farmhouse in Wilpattu was nothing short of exceptional. From the very beginning, everything was perfectly organized by Buddika, who managed our transfers, meals, accommodation, and safari experience with incredible professionalism and kindness. He personally arranged our pick-up from Negombo, coordinated the drive to Wilpattu, and took care of every detail of our stay. The following day, we enjoyed a full-day safari in Wilpattu National Park, which I highly recommend! We were lucky enough to spot sloth bears, leopards, and elephants—a truly unforgettable experience. Moni Farmhouse is brand new and beautifully designed. It felt like staying in a private suite surrounded by nature, offering peace, comfort, and total immersion in the wilderness. All our meals—breakfast, lunch, and dinner—were freshly prepared and delicious. After our stay, Buddika also arranged our transfer to Anuradhapura, making everything seamless and stress-free. We are deeply grateful to Buddika for his warm welcome and outstanding hospitality. Thanks to him, our journey through Sri Lanka started in the best possible way. Highly recommended!

Clean room, very friendly host and very cute puppies !! (called Sera and Nora) We are two girls and felt very safe! The host was very helpful and helped us with arranging a safari. The safari was super nice, we saw the leopard, elephant and our favourite: the sloth bear. For a full day safari they arrange breakfast, lunch and some snacks so it was good worth of money.

Wonderful on-site staff, friendly and helpful. I don't speak Sri Lankan so communication in English was a bit of a challenge but possible. Food breakfast, lunch and dinner is tasty good and reasonably priced. Prepared lunch for Safari tour was most excellent. The tour operator they are kinda connected to is priced right and I would use them again. Big water jug in the room.

If you are looking for the best hotel to stay for your trip to Wilpattu National Park, this is the place!! We had an amazing 3 nights here. The rooms are clean and big. Property is beautifull, and even has a swimming pool. The food here is the best we’ve had in Sri Lanka, we ate the same curry three nights in a row because it was so good. But the best part is the family that runs the place. They have the kindest and sweetest souls and really made our stay the best. We would love to come back and would HIGHLY recommend!! And they also have the sweetest dogs.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Lavendish Hotel, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The hotel offers a perfect blend of comfort, hospitality, and a great atmosphere. Special thanks goes to Pradeep the manager of the property. One of the highlights of my stay was the beautiful ambiance and the peaceful surroundings, making it a perfect place to relax. We recently enjoyed a memorable stay at Ceylon Resort Wildpattu, located near Wildpattu National Park. The owner was exceptionally kind and upgraded our room to a spacious, comfortable suite complete with a large bathroom and hot water. The resort’s unique setting nestled within nature means you’re surrounded by the sights and sounds of the jungle—even the garden attracts a variety of local wildlife. Despite arriving late (around 10:20 PM), we were warmly welcomed. The owner personally ensured that our late arrival was taken care of by waiting with a delicious buffet dinner featuring an array of traditional Sri Lankan dishes. He even explained every dish and introduced us to delightful local desserts. Another highlight was the convenient transportation service offered by the resort. The owner arranged rides to and from various destinations, even picking us up from a location 2.5 hours away. We also took part in an exciting safari trip to Wildpattu National Park via this resort.. Our driver for safari was knowledgeable and resourceful, successfully handling minor other mcar repairs during the safari. The journey through the humid forest was thrilling as we encountered numerous animals, creating an unforgettable wildlife experience. While our stay was brief—we only spent one night as we headed out for a full-day safari—the clean, spacious rooms and the owner’s attentive care made it feel like a home away from home. I wholeheartedly recommend Ceylon Resort Wildpattu to anyone looking for an immersive nature experience combined with genuine hospitality.

    It's a good place to stay only for a night to visit willpattu national park; or maybe choose a room with a bathroom inside of it. Owner was super sweet, packed breakfast for the park since safaris start really early; he also brought me lunch from a town (not for free of course) & dropped me off at the bus stop when I left.

    It was an awesome stay. Close to the Nationalpark, directly in the nature. On our first day we did a little walk to the Nationalpark by foot and discovered the near by Lake. There is not much to Do arround but we enjoyed this quiete stay. When its dark you hear and See the nature arround. With moskito spray its a awesome experience. Hashan was Our service, Our tuktuk driver and Took us to Safari, which was beautyful. The breakfast, Lunch and dinner was delicious and didnt cost much.

    We had a great stay of 2 nights at Wild Edge! A pretty location with views over the field. Hashan and his wife made excellent Sri Lankan food for us which we really enjoyed. Hashan was also a great guide at a full-day safari for us, where we saw many animals, even leopards!

    This is an incredible place! 3 kms off the road, so peaceful, quiet and stunningly beautiful. The family are lovely... So helpful. The food was simple but excellent, with the addition of trays of tea produced when we got up and again at tea time. This stay was truly the highlight of our 3 week trip. They arranged a full day safari for us in Wilpattu National Park... And yes, we saw leopards! We really felt staying in the tree house was a magical experience, definitely not to be missed.
