The room and bathroom were spacious, well designed and impeccably clean -- we really appreciated the attention to details and the additional functionality offered by the daybed, the small desk, the armchairs as we were travelling with our tween and also had to do some work while on vacation. The pool was lovely - it is a good size and none of us had red eyes from chlorination. The beach the property opens onto is gloriously clean and we had it entirely to ourselves most of the time. The cafe served up delicious food but their menu offers only a few Sri Lankan dishes. At our request, the kitchen was only too happy to whip up Sri Lankan meals -- prawn and fish curries, traditional coconut sambol, dhals, gotukala salad, okra salad, ridge gourd in coconut milk, star bean stir fry, eggplant gojju, Sri Lankan pancakes with ice cream, watalapam .... these were by far the best meals we enjoyed during the entirety of our holiday and we would heartily recommend visitors to Lankavatara sample the Sri Lankan meals. The staff are very well informed and helpful and did everything they could to make our stay a memorable one -- from organising tuktuks, catamaran rides in the Kalametiya Bird Sanctuary and turtle watching or airport transfers.

Hospitality was top notch. The staff is very friendly. A wonderful beach is a two minute walk away. At night there we went to see the turtles. With two lovely swimming pools included I would highly recommend the property for a relaxing holiday.

There is a massive garden where the accommodation is and you have often wild animals such as monkeys and peacocks in the area. You get a lot of privacy in the villa and ours was sparkling clean. We got delicious breakfast in the morning at reasonable and fair prices. The hosts are very helpful and friendly. The bed is also very comfortable. Highly recommend.

Fantastic place with hosts that genuinely understand and care about guests and have created a magic place to stay that reflects this. The place to stay in Tangalle. I had to cancel one night in order to get an emergency passport and they didn't charge me cancellation fee. The hosts have thought about and prepared the place with thoughts about guests and not just making money. Would stay again definitely when in Tangalle next. It is a fantastic place to stay with funky colored rooms and little outdoor area and restaurant.

The location being right on the beach was the highlight of this spot for us, being able to walk along the beach first thing in the morning and watch sunrise and sunset each day. Food was incredible too. And the staff were incredibely friendly and warm.

One of the best experiences in Sri lanka trip within 3 weeks. Amazing place, not only appartment but all Rekava. Definately one of the most underrated places in Sri lanka. If you are in doubts - you definately should go there. Peace, silence, nature, ocean, turtles, amazing people - this is Rekava. Lookout lodge is excelent accomodation - new house, all clean and comfy, perfect location near the beach and turtle watch center. Good restaurant nearby (reccomended by Chami). Excelent breakfast and peacefull conversations with owner. We felt like home there and all our wishes were fulfilled with smile. And - there is a pool now - we where the first users and it is great. Appriciated by our boys. Sorry that we booked just 2 nights there, would have liked to stay at least a couple more days. This accomodation has many benefits like very close beach (200m), very nice and helpful staff, very rich breakfast pancakes, fruits and toasts.     Our stay was beyond amazing. Our room was brand new and the pool was really nice. The atmosphere was very relaxing and the manager and his family were outstanding hosts. They tried to really make us feel at home and this was definitely the best stay of our holiday.

    Beautiful setting and seaview from balcony. The pool was great after playing in the big breakers (sea is a stones throw away. Friendly and helpful staff. big room. great breakfasts and dinner. It was the most expensive of our accommodations in Sri Lanka but definitely worth it

    If you like peace and quiet then this is your kind of place. I absolutely loved my stay at Omkara and wish I could have stayed longer. The staff went above and beyond with their service. The accommodation was beautiful, the room was big and the bed was super comfy. It is just a short walk to Rekawa beach which is the perfect place to relax.

    I'd love my stay! The owner was an excellent host, she made sure everything was ok and was available to help despite it being local holidays which I greatly appreciated. She even welcomed me with homemade sweets. The location is a bit outside of the main city which makes it tranquil and relaxing. You can sit on a balcony and listen to birds and other animals as well as the waves crashing. The guesthouse is only few minutes walk to the beach. The room was clean, spacious, and everything was in working order.

    This was one of the best accommodations where we stayed in Sri Lanka. It is immediately seen that host is taking good care of his property, his rooms and his guests, which can be a rare thing on Sri Lanka. If you need any advice, he will be there to help you. Location is very peaceful, you can also chill on bean bags. You need to walk only one or two minutes to reach a nice beach and on another side there are many restaurants, also in walking distance. If you are looking for a good place to stay in Tangalle, this is the place to be.

    The place is like heaven on Earth. Very peaceful, unique, surrounded by beautiful beach and sounds of the ocean. If you are not into partying, but prefer chilled vibes and quiet place to recharge, you have found it. The staff is lovely, always ready to help. Also, I stayed on Christmas day and they prepared nice BBQ. Moreover, very good spot to watch sunrise as well as sunset. One of the best affordable beach accommodations, I have been so far.
