When we arrived our host was out but she had left a note on the door telling us that it was open and we should make ourselves at home. She came back a few minutes later and explained whatever needed explaining. GMH Homestay is a little outside Blenheim so it's not a great area for walking around but one can get into the (small) town in a few minutes' drive.

Ursula welcomed us very kindly and honored us with the most delicious plums from the tree growing in the garden. The apartment is spacious, tastefully furnished and well equipped, located among vineyards. We highly recommend the apartment, the location and of course the lovely hostess.

    the #1 thing in accommodation is cleanliness and this place is spotless! room is very quiet and comfortable, the blackout curtains are great, the staff were good at accommodating me to stay an extra night and allowing me to have the same room by juggling others around. Will definitely return.

    The Vintners Retreat was the highlight of all the accommodation during our stay in New Zealand. A beautiful, peaceful setting with magical views across the adjoining vineyard. The most comfortable beds on our holiday. A very roomy apartment with everything we needed.

    Very quiet, spacious, clean, comfortable room with good lights. A nice bath. Unlike many other accommodations - there was plenty shelf space in the bathroom. It was very useful to have dinner at the Japanese restaurant in the hotel as we stayed there on Good Friday and most of Blenheim was closed, especially at night. The nice receptionist suggested us to park close to the door, in an unmarked position, as we had a lot of luggage.

    Travel and stay in a lot of different accommodations. This would be one of the best we have stayed in. Great host, exceptional rooms, very clean, have given a lot of thought to comfort and convenience for guests. Even as far as proving actual tea cups, usually only get mugs, even in 5 star accommodations. Lovely furnished room with nice little touches. Great sheltered courtyard out the back to enjoy evening sunshine. Appreciated the little gift I received on booking in. Thank you Yvonne.
