We enjoyed our stay - this is a separate house, but the owner lives next door and is always available. The place has all kinds of amenities, we especially appreciated laundry machine and dryer - it was very useful after messy hikes around. Owner was very nice, gave us local fruits and cake - was very tasty. House is not modern but looks right as on the pictures - considering the price it seemed as a good deal.

We had an exceptional stay at Refugio das Camelias. The warm welcome from Jeffrey set the tone for our visit, as he not only greeted us with a drink in their unique wine cellar but also shared stories and valuable recommendations about the island. Our room was lovely and spacious with a well-equipped kitchen including fresh bread and fruit, a charming balcony with a stunning view and a very large bed. The reading room, with two cozy chairs overlooking the breathtaking view, provided the perfect spot read our books as we enjoyed the sunset. Our three-day stay was incredibly comfortable, and the kindness of offering us a lift to our next destination was too kind.

    The house is in a stunning location in a quiet and peaceful neighbourhood. Rubina was very helpful and did a wonderful job of keeping the accommodation tidy every day. Cooking in that beautiful kitchen with the fresh eggs and vegetables produced locally is an experience in itself. We had a great time, no doubt we will stay here next time we come to Madeira.

    I received a friendly welcome, was given an introduction to the accommodation, was able to taste wine, and there was even fresh fruit, bread and cheese in the room on my first day. Besides that you had the opportunity to retreat to your room, but the hosts were always available for an open conversation and gave great recommendations. The room had everything you needed except for a hairdryer. There was a nice balcony and the bed was very comfortable. I had a wonderful vacation.

    The accommodation was fantastic. A very pleasant and relaxing location in a small village by the ocean. Essentially, the entire house was fully equipped for us. The owners were absolutely great, and we thank them for all the gifts. Nearby, there was a beautiful viewpoint overlooking the cliffs and a superb restaurant. A very refreshing stay.

    Accommodations were as described and worked great for us. Good access to PR1 / PR1.2 Pico Ruivo trails as well as PR9 Levada do Caldeirão Verde and PR18 Levada do Rei walks. House is very clean and comfortable. We were two couples with a baby. The three bedrooms worked well for us. We would book this property again.

    Beautiful accommodation in Santana! I always communicated with LilLi and then Marco welcomed me at the door. He was extremely kind and helpful, and greeted us with a warm smile and a delicious bottle of local wine. The apartment was impeccably clean and equipped with all the comforts, including Wi-Fi, TV, air conditioning and a spacious bathroom. The location is perfect for exploring the north-east of Madeira. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and welcoming stay!

    Really beautiful and clean accomodation! Everything was totally ok. Private bathroom, equipped kitchen and terrase. Location was also great. There is place for parking (private). Perfect place for stay :). I can recommend it to all!

    Overall accomodation was very nice, stuff friendly, dinner is very good, especially octopus. Only small negative thing was, when we stayed 8nights, we had to eat always the same combination of ham, cheese, from time to time hard boiled egg and from time to time a little bit of vegetable. Would be nice if they can prepare occasionally some scrable eggs or bacon. But the food was okej, bread was fresh and ham/cheese tasty. I would recommend it

    Great for a short stay! I stayed here back in April and couldn’t not fault the helpful hospitality of Filipe and staff. As a solo traveller - I found the help from Filipe invaluable. Be really does make your stay wonderful, offering taxi services to and from Pico Ruivo as well as a 4am taxi to get back to the airport for my flight home to include a ‘take away breakfast’. The accommodation is basic, but has everything you need. Thank you for your lovely service.
