There were lots of lovely little touches such as organic semi skimmed milk in the fridge in the corridor which we used to make a cuppa in our room. Both dinner and breakfast were yummy. Converted from a prison, you definitely felt safe on the inside. it's been tastefully redecorated with clean, crisp decor; but you still get the sense of the bigness and intensity of the prison. Architecturally it was a bit confronting at first, but the service was outstanding, the people staying there were friendly and chatty. The rooms were clean and quiet and beds super comfortable. Food is simple, hearty and delicious - you can cook some of it yourself in the grillhouse. What makes this place so special is the thought and care of the owners Helén and Bengt - they are wonderful, down-to-earth hosts and made us feel at home.
