Not only was it beautiful but it provided the most amazing food I've ever had! I would go back just to eat there!! Breakfast was out of this world. We travelled for 3 months and this was by far our most memorable place because of the food. The local area views were also great. It was interesting watching the rice paddies being farmed. Kham, the owner, did everything to make our stay memorable. She was helpful with getting scooters and in any other way. Her food is probably the best we ever had in Thailand! She spoiled uns every day with her cooking skills. You could really feel it is her passion! Her place is just so wonderful. Something to remember. The hotel can use an update and the shower needs more pressure, but I had a pleasant stay. You can borrow bikes for free, and ride the 10k to the Golden Triangle/Opium Museum or the 3k to the Skywalk. They can help arrange transport to/from Chiang Rai airport/city. It’s 7-10 mins drive to the town but you stay at the nature site amongst flowers and birds by the lake! It’s run by friendly and very hospitable couple.
