(Tip: the Chinese chiropractor, not the massage parlour, just opposite, is very good). Cheaper than staying in central Taipei but connected by mrt (about 45 mins). Tamsui is a lovely place to be in - lovely coastal views (just 5 mins walk from the residence), great food options, much less crowded and noisy than central Taipei. Aircon had warm air mode which was great during winter.
