He also provided us some recommendations around Yilan The house was beautifully decorated and absolutely spotless. Breakfast was homemade, really tasty and the owner gives a little intro on the food served, a detail that we appreciate. The setting of the food is so artistically displayed that it looks too pretty to be eaten! Some food such as bread and yoghurt and candied fruit were thoughtfully prepared by the guesthouse. We were more than impressed. I even sourced for similar plating when I returned home, hoping to duplicate the experience. She picked us up from the Yilan bus station, helped us plan our time in Yilan and found us a lovely taxi driver who took us around Yilan and its environs during our stay. The room was perfect too - huge queen beds that were very comfortable! In addition to a delicious breakfast there was also a complimentary afternoon tea set with cakes and fruit that they provided for us.
