Even we did not buy breakfast , since he realized we had our eggs :)) , he permitted us to use the kitchen , and also he gave us wonderful recommendations for the best hikes and the swimming possibilities in the lake , so bec of him we tremendously enjoyed the area , we realized that the location of the hotel is perfect, and also he gave us some very valuable advise where to park our car , the best price for the city parking , and not finished yet , just before check in he prepared wonderful coffees for us . I am in the travel business for more than 30 years , Gunnar is one of the most professional manager I have ever met. I should also mention that this hotel is really like an living Art Museum.

The Strand hotel in Schmerikon is situated in a fantastic location directly on Lake Zurich.

The accommodation has its own small beach, which is reserved for hotel guests only. All rooms have a view of the lake. Great hotel and restaurant, we had a wonderful stay, and staff are so welcoming. I highly recommend it.
