Had the loft apartment. Chose this place over others mainly because I wanted a quiet location and La Petarie turned out to be perfect in that respect. Had no problem finding street parking and the owner met me promptly to check me in. Although Jean-Luc didn’t speak English (and I don’t speak French), he used a translation app which worked fine - he gave me some great recommendations for Champagne tastings and was kind enough to phone them to organise reservations. The apartment was absolutely spotless and everything appeared in new condition. I loved the decor and quirkiness, and it was very well equipped for self catering. Very reasonably priced bottles of Champagne in the fridge. Steps up to the loft bedroom might not suit some, but no issue to me although headroom in the loft area is limited. For those that didn’t figure it out there is a switch above the bed that closes the blackout blind on the loft window. The apartment was very quiet and easy walking distance to the Avenue de Champagne. Breakfast the next morning was excellent - I would loved to have taken it in the garden which looked beautiful, but it was a bit chilly so breakfast was inside. Overall a very high standard and great attention to detail - would go back without hesitation. Loved it.

We had a great experience at Le Chateau d Étoges, very elegant and quiet, staff was friendly and helpful; they give us few suggestions to follow our Champagne Trail/Tours. We had diner at one of their restaurants and it was delicious and service outstanding.

Set 31 km from Villa Demoiselle, the property offers a garden and free private parking. Amazing hostess, Christine. The gardens were wonderful and in summer you can dine outside. The very spacious bathroom was excellent with a great shower. There is a compact kitchen easily up to cooking a meal. There is a lobby where dogs can sleep as it is clearly forbidden to let them in the bedroom. Breakfast was served in Christine’s dining room.

The place was clean and smart. The continental breakfast was good, and there were tastings of the family's champagne available. Overall, a great stay!

Believe the reviews…everything as advertised as Fabian and Taina exceeded all expectations by providing an outstanding apartment to call home as we explored the sights, sounds, and tastes of the Champagne region! Location smack in between Reims and Epernay could not be better; and fantastic artisanal bakery around the corner and a Lidl just a bit further could not be more convenient. I’m in the hotel business as an Ops manager for almost 1,200 rooms and the quality, cleanliness, and every attention to detail in the apartment is second to none; our Housekeeping staff could easily use this as an example of a gold standard. When you’re on vacation and you find a place that makes you think, “I could live here!”, that means you found a winner…this is definitely a winner! Unfortunately, “Summer” is booked this weekend, but we’ll be staying next door in “Autumn” and look forward to another positive experience!
