The air-conditioned accommodation is 1.2 km from Gokuraku-ji Temple. Naoshima Christ Church is 2.8 km away and Lee Ufan Museum is 3.1 km from the guest house. We had a fantastic stay at yellow house. The room was spacious, clean and beds comfortable. The shower was very good too. The hosts were very helpful and kind, allowing us to leave our bags after check out and arranging transport to the port on our departure day. They also left bananas and water in the room which were appreciated! The location of the House is great - right by the water and an easy walk to the Ando Museum and Art House area, but also just half an hour walk to the Benesse / Chichu side of the island. There are also good restaurants and coffee shops / cafes short walks from the House. We had a great stay here and would really recommend staying at Yellow House!

Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a seasonal outdoor pool. The property was perfect. It was quite remote which we enjoyed after coming from the business of the city. The room was immaculately clean and spacious and was well equipped with amenities and cooking equipment. The view from the room and the huge balcony was beyond stunning. Would highly recommend staying here, and already have to many people! Would definitely stay here again and wish we had been able to stay longer.

It had everything we need for our family of 4. Masako, the host, was incredibly friendly and picked us up at the port and also dropped us back too. She even made us onigiri for our trip out of Naoshima! Best host ever :)

To me at the age of 80 this is the new kind of accommodation (unlike traditional hotel or ryokan in Japan) which meets our requirements. Being a self contained lodge with all necessary facilities such as washing/dry machine and fully equipped kitchen we did't miss anything more. Since it was a low season many of local restaurants were not fully open, so self catering is good to go.
