Absolutely amazing place and location. The house is very special and made us feel like in the movies about Samurais:) It's a great experience to stay in such unique place. The house is spacious, spotless and very well equipped. Host Yancy is very nice and welcoming. I really recommend to buy green tea from his plantation as it's delicious and fragrant!! We were offered eggs from his hens and tried lemons which is the nicest I've ever had. The views were breathtaking at sunrise and sunset. The whole area is magical, just wish we could stay longer:( Will definitely come back if revisit Japan. Please bare in mind that it's a narrow and twisted drive up, so consider renting small car if you planning to drive in Shikoku mountains.

Excellent We spent two wonderful nights in a traditional Japanese house that has been lovingly preserved and beautifully decorated. It was the most special accommodation of our four-week trip through Japan. The house is set in a peaceful location, surrounded by rice fields, with a lovely garden that invites you to relax. The kitchen is fully and thoughtfully equipped – everywhere you look, there are little details that truly nourish the soul. Our host Kenji was exceptionally attentive: he responded immediately to every request, shared great local tips, and even made restaurant reservations for us – where we were warmly welcomed and had fantastic food experiences. We recommend staying at least two nights to fully enjoy the house and its surroundings. A perfect experience from beginning to end – five stars from us! BTW there is an amazing Blacksmith experience in the area, Workshop Kurogane, where one can force his own Japanese kniffe. Highly recommended. Perfect Combo with the Riverside Hideaway experience.

Situated in Shimanto-cho, EkimaehouseSamaru is a recently renovated accommodation, 13 km from Kaiyodo Hobby Museum Shimanto and 24 km from Monjudo Temple. All the necessary facilities are in good shape. The bed is comfy and you are supplied with all the necessary supplies for a good and warm night. The best with this guesthouse is the awesome placing with stunning nature everywhere and you can rent a bike from the guesthouse and he have good recommendations on where to guy. This is literally paradise on earth with stunning view wherever you go. Also the people in the village are just the nicest, few speak English but they are so friendly and try their best if you do the same.

This is a beautiful and very large accommodation (an entire house), that seems to be taken right out of an interior design magazine! It is clear that the owners and beautifully carefully renovated an old traditional Japanese house. It is a joy to stay here! Night skies are especially beautiful.
