Best location we stayed at in a 2 week holiday in Japan. The other hotels we used were all conventional ones and we wanted to stay in at least on Ryokan and chose this one. The location is perfect, really close to Zenkoji Temple which is the most historic area in Nagano, with lots of really nice shops to explore. The room was perfect and we really enjoyed the traditional Japanese breakfast

There is a private bathroom with bidet in some units, along with free toiletries, a hairdryer and slippers. We had an amazing time! The lodge is modern, super comfy, and Akira along with the whole team were fantastic. Even though we visited at the end of the season and were the only guests, they made sure we had everything we needed. Every morning, they prepared breakfast just for us, and we absolutely looooved every dish. The location was perfect for exploring the area. Can’t wait to come back!

Everything is so clean and well kept, the staff is so friendly, welcoming and helpful and there is a wonderful sense of community among those staying there. The beds were also some of the most comfortable I’ve ever experienced at an accommodation.

He even showed us around town as we didn’t have a car, told us a bit about the towns history and was kind enough to take us to the train station when we left. 10/10 will be coming back if I get the chance!
