The room was clean and comfortable, with everything I needed for a relaxing time. The staff was always kind and helpful. The room was absolutely fabulous, and we were delighted to receive an upgrade. Having our own private onsen-style facility in the bathroom made the experience truly special. The monk staff were incredibly gracious, friendly, and always ready to help.

Would definitely stay again if in Shirahama!

From communications prior to our arrival to meeting our host and the entire stay, we had a wonderful experience! The kitchen is large and fully stocked, they have a washer and dryer, and the rooms were exactly as listed. Our host was courteous and the staff would keep the guest house super clean. They even gave us a bottle of fresh squeezed locally farmed mandarin juice, which was delicious.

The room size is just right—comfortable and well-maintained. Cleanliness is excellent, and the owner is very kind and friendly. The common area is fully equipped, including a clean and well-organized kitchen with plates, cutlery, a refrigerator, microwave, and even a high-quality coffee machine, which is a great touch. One thing to note is that the staircase to the upper floor is a bit steep, which might not be ideal for elderly guests or those with mobility issues. It’s recommended to request a ground-floor room when booking, if needed.

Absolutely beautiful house in a picturesque valley. Views from the room are phenomenal. The house itself is a work of art. 300 year old Sakura tree right outside. Staff are wonderful and friendly. You feel right at home as the atmosphere is like staying at friends. Incredibly comfortable room.

Undoubtedly, this place was one of the best accommodations I have been. The place is spotless. Seiko is a Super Host. She was very helpful to my request. Getting out of the train station you can turn to the left and after crossing the railway it is a two-minutes walk, there is a mini supermarket just in front of the accommodation and a big supermarket 4 minutes up the main road. The Villa is so adorable, if you have time for a little stroll, you will enjoy it. I strongly recommend it.

At the guest house, all units have bed linen and towels. The monk who runs the property was so helpful recommending local restaurants and giving advice and even gave us a lift to the station. There were free drinks including alcohol. The rooms are part of a temple. The hotel is very close to the main shrine and not far from the station so a great location. The place to stay in Shingu. Good value for money.
