We were braced for clouds of insects, but there weren't many, maybe we got lucky. We also went for the morning lake tour which was fantastic. Excellent breakfast as well. Binara and his family were friendly and welcoming . He speaks very good English and communicated clearly and promptly throughout. He went out of his way to ensure that I got the most out of my stay and was so kind and helpful in helping me with travel arrangements. He recommended a wonderful elephant safari with a very knowledgeable and experienced guide which I really enjoyed. This was a great base for exploring Polonaruwa and I would highly recommend Binara Homestay.

Our host made us an amazing rice and curry and we went on a night walk to see wild animals. We have been able to rent great bikes to visite the temples. I really recommend!

Hotel features a year-round outdoor pool and sun terrace. Guests can enjoy meals at the restaurant. Owner of the place, he helped with a hack with the sockets (little secret), and give honest opinion about safari (that it's not worth it at that time of the year). Pool is unexpectedly good, we were alone on it, but it was clean, lights were romantic, all the place it just perfect. Also the dinner and the breakfast was very tasty. I am rarely this satisfied with place. Keep it up!
