Mr Salim and his brother Yasir specifically are gentlemen who will always smile ☺️. The people who operate & execute this experience are actually bedouins. Truly wonderful people!!! Special mention to the amazing food that was served. Homely cooked meals met with amazing level of hospitality. I had the best Mishkak here at Moon Light Luxury Camp.

The area is popular for skiing and cycling, and ski equipment hire is available at the accommodation. One of the best experiences in our life. Staff is great and thoughtful, tents are nice, beds are comfortable. The desert is wonderful at the sunset time and at night. It’s so quiet and relaxing there. Wide selection of food for dinner and breakfast, water and snacks in each tent. We drove there on our rental car Chevrolet Tahoe with ease. However at first we met the guy who is providing shuttle service and we followed him on our car. The road is hard pressed rock and sand almost all the way to the camp and then a kilometer of softer sand across the dune. Tahoe was doing absolutely fine there with 4wd and deflated tires. Smaller cars (like Pajero, Prado) are okay I guess but 4wd and high clearance are necessary for the dune and soft sand. So no small city crossovers.

Speaking both Arabic and English, staff at the reception can help you plan your stay. The tents are very authentic, the beds are big and comfortable. The place has a beautiful setting in the desert. We were welcomed by dates, coffee, fruits. We ordered a dinner, which was really delicious and rich. Also, the breakfast was a traditional arab pancake, absolutely tasty. You need a 4 WD car to get to the camp, but the host can pick you up at a designated location.

The accommodation provides airport transfers, while a ski equipment rental service is also available. I loved the big windows and the balcony to sit outside. I got up early to see the stars after the moon set and they were amazing. I could walk out into the sand and see all the tracks left by animals in the night and I watched a dung beetle working on its structure. The morning camel ride was well worth it. The owner served us tea and pointed out constellations at night.
