Speaking both Arabic and English, staff at the reception can help you plan your stay. The tents are very authentic, the beds are big and comfortable. The place has a beautiful setting in the desert. We were welcomed by dates, coffee, fruits. We ordered a dinner, which was really delicious and rich. Also, the breakfast was a traditional arab pancake, absolutely tasty. You need a 4 WD car to get to the camp, but the host can pick you up at a designated location.

The accommodation provides airport transfers, while a ski equipment rental service is also available. Excellent location in the dunes- away from other camps and no light pollution. Situated in Al Wāşil in the Al Sharqiyah region, Authentic Desert Camp - Al Wasil has a balcony. There is an in-house restaurant and free private parking. The accommodation features a 24-hour front desk, full-day security and currency exchange for guests. The authenticity was spot on. Everyone and everything was perfect. It was a hot night and the staff put our beds outside the tents, sleeping under the stars and full moon night was above and beyond our expectations. Camel rides were a little pricey but ya gotta do it. Diner and breakfast were traditional and plentiful. We will be back!

We had an amazing night here, the camp is further out than the others which gives it a private and exclusive feeling. One of the most beautiful sunsets ever, good buffet dinner & breakfast & fire at night with the stars above was a highlight! Bathrooms are clean, just a bit smelly, I guess that is not to be avoided in a place so secluded! Bed and tent were spacious and comfortable.
