There were so many modern amenities and we felt very comfortable. We especially liked the comfy beds, large TV and the bathtub with a great view. The staff was very friendly and the location was good (right next to MRT). Would definitely recommend!

Set in the hippest east area of Taipei, Star Hostel Taipei East has transformed from an old residential house to modern Eco-friendly accommodation hosting travellers worldwide. Free WiFi is featured in all areas. The staff was friendly and very helpful. As a vegetarian, I made a request for breakfast and I was attended to immediately. I appreciated that. The hostel was nice and clean. The bed was soft and my body was in heaven. Hahahaha. Loved the lounge area and set up. I also liked that they kept my luggage whilst I went on a nearby sightseeing place after checking out, that was nice of them. Overall, it’s a nice hostel… I think I would opt for it again if I come back to Taipei.

It’s comfortable in every way and I feel very taken care of. The staff are great! The breakfast is also great! It’s central but it has a good price. I highly recommend it.

It is 1 km or 1 Taipei metro ride from MRT Beimen Station to Ximending shopping district. Best hostel I’ve stayed at so far. Everything was clean, neat and organised, the common space was super stylish and comfy to share as a workspace or just hang out, the room was designed in such way to have privacy and be comfortable (stayed in a 4-bed female dormitory). Location was also great, I enjoyed every bit of my stay!
