Close to Taoyuan International airport (from Terminal 1/2 (A12/13) to Station A17 (Linghang)), ~15 minutes (cost TW$ 20 each way per person ~ €0.50c) on the MRT which is clearly signposted in the airport. There are ATMs in the concourse(s), credit card is easier than debit card to get money, there is a manned ticket office at the airport,and at station A17, along with vending machines. You get a coloured token that gives access through the turnstiles It is a 5-7 minute walk from A17 (Linghang) to Alfar Hotel, slightly uphill but very, very gentle slope and smooth pavements), not under a flight path, so quiet overnight. The area is great, very tranquil, a few restaurants and cafes, lovely park and lake with the Calligraphy Museum opposite the hotel. There is no formal breakfast, however, there is coffee, tea, cookies, soft-drink available in the morning. Superb shower/bathroom, slippers provided along with usual bathroom stuff (razor, toothbrushes, etc.). Bed was fantastic with really great pillows. Staff were very friendly, they all spoke English (and probably other European languages). Hotel is clean, quiet and comfortable, wish we could have stayed longer.

The room is very big, bigger than normal rooms. Overall, I enjoy to stay at this hotel.

We'd booked two nights, but given its remote location and no transportation save for Uber, I asked the owner if we could only stay for one. She agreed.

The property is located 36 km from Nanya Night Market, 40 km from Xingnan Night Market and 43 km from Mengjia Longshan Temple. The bed and breakfast features family rooms. Hosts were super warm and friendly and they took such good care of us. We had 4 kids, 4 adults and 1 elderly and all our needs were full met. There were little toys and coloring pages in the common area to keep little ones entertained. My kids also enjoyed the teepee they have in the rooms. Breakfast were good o' Taiwanese breakfast from a shop nearby. There's a good selection of coffee and soy milk prepared by the hosts to go with our breakfasts. Nearest convenience store is around 10mins walk away. As we needed a bigger supermarket, the hosts were kind enough to drive us to and from a big supermarket further away. We didn't spot food places nearby except for a stretch of live fish restaurants along the main road but ubereats offers a lot of options for delivery. Overall, an extremely enjoyable and memorable stay. Love the hospitality of the hosts and would strongly recommend anyone who is visiting taoyuan/hsinchu area to give this place a try.

Very good for short term stays. It is an extremely charming and comfortable place. I also enjoyed the mood music every time I sat down to eat. The aesthetics of the place is beautiful and the room was small but functional. And as my partner said, "The pastries were devine!" As a hospitality instructor, it is somewhere I would definitely recommend to others.
