The manager speaks fluent English so it’s easy to sort things out. They even let me arrive at 5am even though checkin wasn’t until the afternoon, which saved me from being stranded in Afghanistan alone in the dark after a night bus. Decent breakfast too. They give you a lot to choose from. Also a great location 10 minutes walking distance from the Blue Mosque.

The guest house has a spacious, stylish, and comfortable common area where you can relax, as well as a large kitchen for self-catering. The hosts went above and beyond in being kind and helpful. When I feel ill with a bit of food poisoning, Mavjuda took care of me and cooked me boiled rice to help me get back to health. She also arranged transportation for me and let me and other guests leave belongings in a secure room during trips away. They even invited me and other guests to an engagement party, which was a real treat. Very kind and very helpful people in a beautiful home.

I put this first, because a lot of people may shy away from this place because it says on booking.com that it doesn't have wifi. Hostel is new, so everything is clean. Great showers- both hot water and pressure. Beds are comfortable, especially by 'Stan standards. Only thing I'd like added would be curtains on the beds.
